FINAL POST

Throughout the years, we have been taught English in various ways. Our teachers sometimes wanted us to repeat after her/him, sometimes they wanted us to write down sentences, or sometimes we played games together. Then gradually, they introduced us to smartboards. It seemed like a big change for us at first, but then it ended up doing the same thing as a blackboard except it was more colourful.

My understanding of technology integration in classrooms was limited to smartboards and some audios our teachers used in class. I knew that after some time, we would have better options to integrate into our classes, but I did not know that we have a lot already. My perception changed a lot.

Considering the tasks we have done, digital storytelling was the one for me. I enjoy editing videos and working on audio, so I enjoyed that process so much. I also believe that one gives the most productive results in terms of content to be used in teaching. Because it helps both the teacher and the student a lot with both the audio and the visuals.

I liked all the tasks, but my least favourite one was creating infographics. It was not struggling, but I would rather put all of that information in an explanatory video rather than an infographic.

I do not think I am knowledgeable enough to recommend anything to improve this course. It was pretty helpful for me to better understand 21st-century learning and what I can do to better help future generations as a teacher. I will try my best to integrate these activities into my classes in the future, and maybe when I get there, I can share another blog post with you to share my experiences (in 2 or 3 years, hopefully) (''they say the end is near'').
